Tennis for Beginners – Part 1

How many times have you watched tennis on TV and thought ‘id love to give that a go’? How many times have you then walked or driven past a tennis court and thought ‘Mmmmm, maybe I will give that a go one day?

Well……..now is the time to bite the bullet and get on that court! Tennis can be played at any age, so there is never a bad time to start.

So, how do you get started???

Wherever you live there is never a court too far away. Whether you’re playing for fitness, for fun, or because you’re aiming to be the next no.1, the first thing you need to decide is, who are you playing with. This is where your options are vast! Obviously, you can just jump on court with a friend or family member.

On most courts, you can pay as you go or join as a member for the year, so it’s an easy way to get playing. But, why stop there? With tennis being such a social sport, why not get yourself involved in coaching sessions or club sessions? It’s a great way to meet new people and become a better tennis player at the same time.
